Advocate Kulwinder Kaur confirmed “the appeal by the Sikh Relief team has been filed by Snr Advocate of Punjab and Haryana High Court Rajwinder Singh Bains and Delhi's human rights specialist Snr Supreme Court Advocate Sh. Bains said “it is a serious misjudgment from the legal point of view, the verdict clearly shows the Judge has not understood the law or its application or maybe has allowed his personal dislike of the concept of Khalistan that merely an association with the word Khalistan has caused him to act in such a horrendous and cavalier fashion?” During the interaction with the media persons, he said that the “prosecution accepted that the convicted Sikh youth is not a member of ANY organisation, then on the basis of non-invasions, non-arms, four-to-five Facebook posts and books of Sikh history, saying that there is a genuine threat to the country is simply preposterous”. The paperwork has been submitted at the Panjab and Haryana High Court in the state capital Chandigarh almost 80 days ahead of the deadline and efforts are being made by the Sikh Relief legal counsel to have the proceedings expedited.
